Make sure you’re ready

As I come in and out of these doors. I believe I’m finally starting to let go, of the burdens of my past, the guilt I felt for some of the things that didn’t happen the way I wanted.

I started to walk the path using a new pair of eyes and the glasses I use to wear broke into a million pieces, I swiped the pieces away and hid them underneath the rug, only to remind me that they’re there to show me about gratitude and humbleness.

When the time comes I say I want to be ready, maybe I won’t because I love my life and every breath I take along the way.

The shadows, the tears and the smiles cover me like a shower of fire except they don’t burn, they don’t destroy.

I walk once more in and out of these doors.

I focus my attention in kindness and a deep compassion to everyone crossing my path, they jumped inside the train to show me some kind of meaning, some took off, some have stayed.

I have myself switched the rails sometimes and the waves of imperfection and fragility still cover me with bliss.

I am in that line, waiting for my turn, late, far, closer or right now, and I’m making sure I’m ready.

I’m making sure that every last drop of sweat was covered with enough ice and that every drop of tears could bring sweetness to someone else’s life.

I might not have time to heal the world but I will certainly try, I might not have time to achieve every single thing I wish to achieve and it doesn’t really matter.

The train is still moving.

When my time comes to hop down, I’ll make sure to bring a suitcase of bittersweet longings, a hat filled with blessings and love, and also a coat filled with every hug and kiss of every soul who offered me kindness, in a way or another.

I embrace now the crunching sound of the leaves underneath my feet and I walk with no fear towards the forest.
